Beginners Tricks
Here lies a list of tricks that are good to start out with, its good to learn these as they form the basis for more comlex tricks later on. Once you've mastered these take a look at some of the other beginner tricks pages.

Basic Trapeze
Right Trapeze
- Swing the diabolo in an anti-clockwise direction so it goes over the right stick.
- Catch the diabolo on the center string.
- To return to normal swing the diabolo clockwise.
Left Trapeze
- Swing the diabolo in a clockwise direction so it goes over the left stick.
- Catch the diabolo on the center string.
- To return to normal swing the diabolo anti-clockwise.
The Elevator / Climb The String
Will not work with bearing diabolo
- The diabolo should be spinning fast. Now put your right stick over the top of the diabolo and pull down so the string is taught.
- Keep the string tight and the diabolo should rise up the vertical string. When it gets near the top loosen the string and wrap your right stick back around the diabolo as it falls.
Backside
Right Backside
- Throw the diabolo up, not too high, around shoulder height.
- Wrap the right stick around and under the right hand side of the diabolo. The strings should now be crossed once.
Left Backside
- Throw the diabolo up, not too high, around shoulder height.
- Wrap the left stick around and under the left hand side of the diabolo. The strings should now be crossed once.
